Police have charged a man following ongoing investigations into weapon and drug offences in the Darling Downs.

Just after 12pm on Tuesday, 12 August, detectives from Kingaroy Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a Kingaroy Burrandown Road address.

Detectives successfully located several drug-related items and a firearm and took a 39-year-old man into custody.

The man has since been charged with multiple offences including possess shortened firearms, unlawful possession of weapons and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today, August 13.
