Weapons offences - Farrar

Northern Territory Police have issued an Outlaws Motorcycle Gang associate with a notice to appear in court for weapons offences.

The 26-year-old man was located by police following a traffic apprehension in Farrar around 1:30pm yesterday. Police conducted a search of the man's vehicle and seized a 40 centimetre bladed machete.

The man is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on 17 July 2019.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer of the Drug and Organised Crime Division said, "In this instance, police have seized a potentially lethal weapon in efforts to minimise harm to the community. Police will continue to monitor Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs and criminal associates of these gangs."
