Cairns Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) advises people in the Cairns Region that the THREAT HAS REDUCED.
The Bureau of Meteorology has removed Cairns Region from the Severe Weather Warning for Tropical Low (12U) as the system moved south.
For non-life-threatening flood and storm emergency assistance, contact SES on 132500, 132500.qld.gov.au, or the SES Assistance Qld app on Android or iOS.

What we are expecting
Continuing closures of some roads due to flooding.
Possible pothole, tree branches and debris on roads.
What you need to do
- Stay away from creeks, rivers, and drains.
- Travel to the conditions, plan your route carefully to avoid any flooded or damaged roads, you may need to allow extra travel time. If it's flooded forget it.
- Be aware of road hazards including tree branches and debris.

- Level 4 Water Restrictions are in place. This limits water uses to personal health and hygiene such as drinking, cooking and bathing. - Store water and be prepared for possible disruptions to the city's water supply following heavy rainfall, which can impact water treatment operations and reservoir capacity. Prepare by storing water safely:
- Drinking water: Use clean, food-grade containers to store water. Store in a cool, dark place; refresh every 3 months.
- Non-potable water: Save rainwater, collect shower water, or use pool water for toilets and gardens.
