More than 300 properties in Malua Bay will experience a temporary water supply interruption on Wednesday night as essential work continues on the water main along George Bass Drive.
To support the construction of a new roundabout, we're relocating the water main. This requires a planned shutdown of the water supply for a few hours.
The shutdown will begin at 10.30pm to minimise disruption to the residents, with water back on again by 4am Thursday.
The interruption will affect properties inland from George Bass Drive that are accessed via Sylvan Street. Affected households have been notified via letterbox drop.
During the shutdown, tap water will not be available. Residents are advised to store enough water in advance to meet their household needs during the interruption.
We've also been talking with Club Malua to coordinate the timing and minimise any inconvenience.
When water is restored, it may appear temporarily milky or cloudy due to harmless air bubbles. This is normal and the water remains safe to use. The appearance will clear shortly after supply resumes.
Please note that machinery and lighting will be in use along George Bass Drive during the night works and we'll do our best to keep noise to a minimum.
