Not a good weekend for both senior losing, but congratulations to Zach Salmi for 100 games and a BOG performance. Congratulations also to Heidi and Erin for their on court performance, going down narrowly in their match. One more game this week at Rupanyup and then the finals begin. The Swifts look like having eight sides in the finals this year, with the first final taking place Saturday 24 August, 3rd vs 6th will be played in Stawell at North Park. This will be great for Stawell bringing a lot of people to town that day. Also, the tender has gone out for the new building at North Park. Thanks to all involved in this great project, the excitement now amongst everyone is encouraging.
On Sunday, North Park also hosted the FIDA Western Conference finals carnival along with the help of the Swifts. There was a great crowd and it was a great day considering the weather conditions, and well done to Nick Baird for organising the day. It all went well and everyone enjoyed their participation in great spirit.
