FAREWELL

IMG_3472.jpeg

Congratulations and farewell to Russell Le Tisser for an incredible 48 years of service to the Central Goldfields community.

Our longest-serving employee, Russell, began his journey with us in 1978 at just 16 years old, starting as an Apprentice Gardener with the City of Maryborough.

Since then, he has dedicated his entire career to the Parks and Open Spaces team, earning the well-deserved reputation as the oracle of Council's open spaces.

Thank you, Russell, for your dedication, expertise, and friendship. Enjoy your retirement!

GAME, SET…ALMOST MATCH!

Five new synthetic grass courts and lighting are in the final stages of being installed at the Maryborough Tennis Centre.

The $523,000 project is jointly funded thanks to $400,000 from the Victorian Government, $71,700 from Council, $20,000 contribution from the Maryborough Tennis Centre and a $31,300 National Court Rebate via Tennis Australia.

The courts are being constructed by Council's Operations team, Tuff Turf and RNCO.CO will deliver the new lighting.

FOOTPATH UPGRADE

A damaged drain has caused footpath safety issues along Burns Street in the open space in front of the Maryborough Railway Station.

Our Roads and Works crew is removing the drain and replacing it, along with a section of the footpath.

Motorists are encouraged to please slow down while the works are underway.
