Wellness Festival connects health-conscious Manly community

Northern Beaches

Northern Beaches Council is partnering with Manly Business Chamber to present an interactive wellness festival in Manly.

The inaugural Manly Health and Wellness event will run from 9am until 5pm on Sunday, 12 February on the beautiful Manly beachfront, thanks to event partners Mounties Care Integrative Health Clinic and Manly Observer.

Programmed on the promenade overlooking the water, it will offer a plethora of free fitness workshops and classes, informative health seminars and local interactive exhibitors.

Mayor Michael Regan said the wellness festival has something for all age groups, and fitness levels. "This event gives visitors direct access to the vast health and wellness knowledge that exists in the Greater Manly ward.

"Health is the ultimate wealth and this event is tailor-made for those who are ready to take responsibility for their health and upgrade their well-being to the next level.

"So many of us on the Northern Beaches love our sport and active lifestyle. It's one of the things that makes our community so great. This event will not only inspire and encourage a healthy lifestyle, it will also help support the many great fitness centres, gyms and health and wellness businesses operating on the Northern Beaches," Mayor Regan said.

Manly Business Chamber President, Charlotte Rimmer said this event will cover the profound impact of wellness on the mind and promote participation in the local fitness community.

"The challenges of the past two years have changed the way we live and work forever. We want to encourage healthy habits and do a pulse check on our mental health and wellbeing," Ms Rimmer said.
