A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged shooting in Wendouree on Sunday, Victoria Police say.
Investigations into the alleged shooting began after a 24-year-old man, suffering a suspected gunshot wound to the stomach, attended a medical facility in Ballarat yesterday afternoon.
That man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police this morning arrested a 23-year-old Wendouree man in relation to the alleged shooting.
He was later charged with attempted murder and firearm offences and was remanded to appear in the Ballarat Magistrates’ Court today.
