Campbelltown residents are invited to dig into something special and come and collect a free compost bag on us, as a part of our Compost Giveaway on Saturday 28 June at the Campbelltown Community Recycling Centre.

The giveaway is to say thank you to our community for using their green bin the correct way and aimed at promoting sustainable bin practices.

We're giving away 300 compost bags of rich, garden-loving compost made from our regions' garden organics collected from the kerbside green bins.

The nutrient packed compost is great for winter planting and is a perfect way to give your garden an extra boost to make it thrive.

"Small efforts make a big impact and by using your garden organics bin correctly, not only does it keep waste out of landfill, but it also helps create something valuable for everyone," Mayor of Campbelltown, Darcy Lound said.

"This giveaway is our way of saying thank you to the residents who are making a difference and helping build a more sustainable community," Cr Lound said.

Participants are required to book in a collection time and bring their printed or digital copy of the ticket with proof of residence. Each household is limited to one 25L bag while stocks last.
