Official AFC Women's Asian Cup Live Site Venue Set for Fan Surge in March, starting with the Matildas v Filipinas Clash

Western Sydney's premier hospitality and entertainment venue and Official AFC Women's Asian Cup Live Site - West HQ - is set to become the regions headquarters for Matildas and Filipinas fans as the two teams vie for the Asian Cup.

West HQ had previously gained a reputation locally as the "Home of the Tillys" when it became the Western Sydney base for the Matildas during the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023. And, with one of the country's largest Filipino populations being located close to West HQ, it is expected also become a central gathering point for the Filipinas fans.

Richard Errington, Chief Executive Officer of West HQ, said the tournament was of great interest to many locals – some of whom will be supporting both sides – and as a result, West HQ is an Official AFC Women's Asian Cup Live Site.

"We are set for a tremendous atmosphere over the coming month as fans come to support their home teams, particularly when the tournament kicks off with the Matildas lining up against the Filipinas," he said.

"We expect to see strong support for both sides, and we're pleased to provide a space where people can come together to celebrate women's sport at the highest level."

To support the tournament atmosphere, the precinct will roll out a series of match-night activations, prize draws and offers designed to bring fans together across the precinct.

What's Happening On Site

  • AFC Women's Asian Cup fixtures featuring Australia and the Philippines, will be screened live on the big screen in Eat Street Bar.
  • On selected match nights between 5pm–10pm, patrons who spend $20 or more at Eat Street Central or New Town Thai Restaurant will go into the draw to win prize bundles including team jerseys and footballs.
  • On Grand Final night (21 March), eligible patrons will also have the chance to win a return flight to Manila, Philippines via Philippine Airlines.
  • Match-night dining offers will include 20 per cent off at New Town Thai Restaurant, alongside happy hour drinks and cocktail specials in Eat Street Bar in partnership with 7000 Islands.

With strong support expected from both Australian and Filipino fans, the fixture is set to deliver a vibrant and culturally significant match-night atmosphere in Western Sydney, marking another major women's football moment at West HQ.
