Western Australia coronovirus update as at 10 February 2021

The Department of Health has reported two new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State's total to 909.

The cases are a male and female aged in their 30s who have travelled from overseas. Both cases are in hotel quarantine.

Yesterday 6,126 people were tested for COVID-19 across the State. At WA Health COVID clinics 816 presented for testing – 808 were assessed and swabbed.

WA Health is monitoring 8 active cases of COVID-19 – 892 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, 19 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (15 B.1.1.7 strain and 4 B.1.351 strain).

A total of 813,567 tests have been processed throughout the State. Of those, 121,993 were from regional WA.
