Western Sydney Scores Two $2.2M Lotto Wins

The Lott

Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.

A hardworking Lidcombe man and a mystery Toongabbie player are stepping into the working week as newly-minted millionaires after both pocketed $2.2 million in the weekend's Saturday Lotto draw.

The two were among the nine division one winners nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4709, drawn Saturday 5 September 2026, and each can look forward to $2,222,222.23.

"Where are my glasses?!": Lidcombe man eyes life-changing Saturday Lotto win

A hardworking Lidcombe man has revealed he spent several frantic moments searching for his glasses after checking his Saturday Lotto ticket and discovering he'd become an overnight multi-millionaire.

"I'm in shock. I'm covered in goosebumps," he laughed when speaking to us yesterday morning.

"I got up this morning and checked my Lotto ticket. I didn't have my glasses on and The Lott app said I had a win, so I was like, 'Where are my glasses?!'.

"I finally found them, put my glasses on and couldn't believe it.

"It's unbelievable. I've just been in shock for the past hour.

"I've had so much happening over the last couple of months, just life and stress. You always think the people who win are so lucky, and then all of a sudden it's happened to me.

"I can't believe it.

"This helps so much. It's such a relief."

"I'm just renting and I've never owned a place. Now I'll be able to buy a unit, get my own place and set myself up."

Another Sydney winner yet to discover their winning news

A mystery Toongabbie player has become a Saturday Lotto multi-millionaire but may have yet to discover their good fortune.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.

Instead, we are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.

Their winning entry was purchased at Toongabbie Newsagency, 46 Aurelia Street, Toongabbie.

Toongabbie Newsagency owner Robert Chong said he was excited to hear his outlet had sold another division one winning entry.

"We were very surprised and excited for the community when we heard the news," he said.

"We'll be celebrating by putting up signs, decorating the counter and sharing the exciting news with our local customers.

"The shop immediately fills with an energetic atmosphere as people come in to congratulate the staff and talk about the win.

"This is our seventh division one winning entry in six years, so Toongabbie Newsagency has proudly earned its reputation as the ultimate 'lucky shop'.

"We hope this win brings our division one winner and their family ultimate financial peace of mind, security and the freedom to choose their own path."
