Whangarei Police disappointed with some motorists at checkpoints

As stated by Acting Inspector Rob Huys, Relieving Area Commander, Whangarei:

Whangarei Police are pleased that there has been no fatalities on Northland roads over the holiday period. However, Police are disappointed at a number of motorists stopped at checkpoints across Whangarei on Good Friday.

More than 35 infringement notices were issued by Police at checkpoints across the city.

Several of these infringement notices were issued to speeding drivers.
