Police have charged a man with drugs and firearms offences after a woman was fatally shot in Whittington on 21 November, Victoria Police say.
Police and emergency services were called to Conrad Court where a woman was found with a gunshot wound about 9.20pm.
The 31-year-old was taken to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
A 25-year-old Whittington man who was present at the residence was arrested and has since been charged with the following offences:
-Prohibited person possess firearm
-Traffick heroin
-Possess heroin
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
Homicide Squad detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged shooting.
