Monash expert: Why more funding is urgently needed for water quality projects to help protect the Great Barrier Reef.

This week representatives from UNESCO will be assessing the Great Barrier Reef to provide recommendations as to whether the reef should be placed on the list of world heritage sites that are in danger. Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk wrote to Prime Minister Scott Morrison, asking him to match more than $2bn of funding for renewable energy and water quality projects.
