WinterActive Arcade is back this weekend

Missed the first WinterActive Arcade?

You're in luck! It's returning to the Mining Exchange this weekend.

Head online today to purchase your tickets and get ready to explore the evolution of the arcade - from retro gaming to the new world of immersive technologies such as augmented and virtual reality.

Get ready for virtual reality drone racing, a massive multiplayer game of Snake and technology-infused wearable fashion.

You will also have the opportunity to see artist demonstrations using Tilt Brush - a Google application that allows you to paint in 3D with virtual reality.

If it's augmented reality you prefer, you will enjoy the EyeJack Prosthetic Reality Exhibition that features 20 art pieces from the first wave of augmented reality artists around the world.

A number of pieces of clothing from the Nixi Killick fashion collection will also be on display. Nixi Killick balances fashion with sculptured technology infused wearable pieces for celebrity styling and creative projects.

So, whether you're a fan of gaming and new technologies, or you're simply looking for a fun day out with your friends or family, then the Winteractive Arcade could be the answer you're looking for.

This event is presented by the City of Ballarat and supports the Creative City Strategy by tapping into the unique characteristics and strengths of our local creatives.
