Dean Winter has stunningly confessed that he forced this election on a lie.
Mr Winter forced an election upon Tasmanians after moving a no-confidence motion in the Premier on the basis of the Liberal budget, which returns the state to surplus in 5 years' time.
Mr Winter has now admitted to The Advocate that Labor's plan is to return to surplus - wait for it - no sooner than the budget he blew up!
Mr Winter has revealed himself as a fraud.
His no confidence motion was a sham.
He forced an election Tasmanians don't want and didn't need for his own selfish attempts to grab power.
The Liberals have a plan for a sensible pathway to surplus.
It's time to get on with it and finish the job.
