Witness appeal following petrol drive-offs

Gisborne police are appealing for information following three petrol drive-offs in the Macedon Ranges area in the past two weeks, Victoria Police say.

It’s believed an unknown man attended a petrol station on Main Road in Riddells Creek about 8am on Friday 25 November.

The man was driving a black Toyota Hilux, with personalised plates YBPSI, and filled the vehicle with diesel fuel before driving off without paying.

Police believe the same vehicle and offender was involved in two previous petrol drive-offs.

The first occurred on Black Forest Drive in Macedon on Saturday 5 November about 4.30pm.

The second occurred on Robertson Street in Gisborne on Thursday 24 November about 6am.

Police have released an image of a man and vehicle they believe could assist with their investigation.

Police believe the man lives or works in the Macedon area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
