Witness appeal for Alexandra hit-run fatality

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate a fatal hit and run collision in Alexandra last year and are appealing for public assistance.

Emergency services were called to Hall Street about 12.15am on 16 June (2019) after a 20-year-old man was located on the road with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics treated a Mount Duneed man, however he died en route to hospital.

Two men were interviewed and released from police custody on 16 June 2019.

A Toyota Hilux, believed to have been involved in the incident, has also been recovered.
