Witness appeal to identify Whittlesea burglars

Detectives from the Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit are hoping to identify two men following a burglary in Whittlesea last week.

Investigators have been told two men jumped over a side fence to gain entry into a rear garage at a house on Yeerung Way just before midnight on Saturday 17 April.

Once inside the garage the men managed to start the engine of a grey 1989 VNSS Holden sedan and drove away from the address.

The victim told investigators that the car is very distinctive with gold wheels, a cut-out hood with the air filter popped out of the bonnet.

The car is also club registered, with the registration number 94552H.

Investigators have released an image of the vehicle and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
