Witnesses sought after road rage incident in Huskisson

Police investigating a road rage incident in Huskisson at the weekend are appealing for witnesses, NSW Police say.

Just before midnight (Saturday 26 May 2018), a 25-year-old man, was driving on Island Point Road in a white Mitsubishi Lancer, when a Subaru Impreza, with two men, pulled up beside them.

The men engaged in conversation, before throwing something at the window, causing it to smash.

The vehicle drove off at speed and the 25-year-old man stopped on Loralyn Avenue at Sanctuary Point and contacted police.

A 23-year-old female passenger was treated for minor lacerations to her forehead and chest.

Officers from the South Coast Police District have commenced inquiries and are appealing for community assistance.

The vehicle has been described to police as a dark/coloured 1998 to 2001 model Subaru Impreza with standard alloy rims and sun-damage on the paint. The vehicle has a large spoiler on the rear boot with a ‘Subaru’ badge on the back.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
