Wodonga powers nationwide festival of pre-loved stuff

Australia's largest sustainability and community festival, the Garage Sale Trail, is back this November, remodelled for COVID and bigger than ever!

To accommodate our land of pre-loved shop-a-holics, Garage Sale Trail 2021 will take place online or in the community (restrictions allowing) over three glorious weekends from November 6 to 21. Powered locally by Wodonga Council and Halve Waste, the festival encourages residents to sell, shop and learn about the circular economy.

A circular economy means stuff is kept in use for as long as possible, delivering the highest value it can, for as long as it can.

On November 6 and 7, residents can join a Trail Tutorial online masterclass and learn about "fashion, flipping and fixing the planet". Featuring experts from the world of fashion, styling, finance and sustainability, workshops cover tips on how to reduce what we waste through reuse and repair. Then, over two big weekends of garage sales, sell pre-loved goods or shop the trail and snag a guilt-free bargain either online or covid-safely in the community (restrictions permitting) on November 13 and 14 and 20 and 21.

Sellers will receive resources and tips to make their sale a COVIDSafe success including touch-free QR code payments enabled by PayPal.
