Woman and child threatened during break and enter in Whalan

Police are investigating after an aggravated break and enter in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Just after 10pm today, a 33-year-old woman was inside and an 11-year-old girl was sitting on the steps of their home on Karangi Road, Whalan.

Police have been told, a male approached the 11-year-old girl, producing a gun and threatening her, while two other men stood by.

The male allegedly entered the house and threatened the 33-year-old woman with the gun, before fleeing the scene with the two other males.

Officers attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command attended and have commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, the police would like to speak to three men who might be able to assist.

The first man is described to police as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and about 15-years-old. He was last seen wearing all black with blue and white sneakers.

The second man is described to police as having dark skin and was wearing all black, with a multi-coloured bandana covering his face, and blue shoes with red and white trim with a crocodile motif.

No description was provided of the third male.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
