Woman arrested after car spiked at Moana, South Australia

Police have arrested a woman following an attempt traffic stop at Maslin Beach overnight.

At 1am on Wednesday 12 December, patrols spotted a defected black Mercedes convertible travelling at speed north along Commercial Road. Police stopped the driver but she immediately drove off.

Patrols were able to stop the car a short time later after deploying road spikes near the intersection of Commercial Road and Griffiths Drive at Moana.

The driver, a 36-year-old woman from Maslin Beach was arrested and taken to hospital to be medically assessed and is expected to charged later today with a number of traffic related offences.

Her vehicle has been impounded.
