Woman arrested after Christmas Day incident, WA


Mandurah Detectives have charged a woman as a result of their investigation into an incident that occurred on Tuesday, 25 December 2018, WA Police say.

Around 6.45pm, a man in his 40s was located unconscious on Mandurah Road, north bound, between Pinjarra Road and Leslie Street, Mandurah.

The man received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

It will be alleged the woman struck him with a vehicle and then left the scene.

The 18-year-old woman from Coodanup has been charged with:-

•Driver Failed to Stop and Ensure Assistance Received after Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm; and

•Being the Driver of a Motor Vehicle Involved in an Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm, Failed to Report Incident to WA Police.

She is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on 15 February 2019.
