Woman arrested firearm offences - Salisbury East

A Smithfield Plains woman has been charged with firearms offences after a swan-off shotgun was found at a Salisbury East home yesterday.

At around 6.30pm on Wednesday 18 March, Northern District Police searched a Bridge Road Salisbury East home, allegedly locating a sawn- off shotgun in pieces (pictured) as well as ammunition and a stolen motorbike.

A 34-year-old woman from Smithfield Plains was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition without a licence.

She has been refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are continuing.
