Woman Arrested in Connection with Murders of Brenda and Lynton Anderson

Major Crime detectives arrested a woman this morning in connection with the alleged drug toxicity murders of Brenda and Lynton Anderson.

Mrs Anderson, 94, died at Flinders Medical Centre on 16 March 2022 and Mr Anderson, also aged 94, died at FMC on 1 May 2023.

It will be alleged both died from drug overdoses after being deliberately administered medication – in Mrs Anderson's case while she was being treated as a patient at the Noarlunga Hospital on 12 March 2022 and when Mr Anderson was at his Hackham home on 30 April, 2023.

The 62-year-old Craigmore woman is expected to be charged with two counts of murder later today. She will be refused police bail and is likely to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today or tomorrow.

The arrested woman is a family member of Mr and Mrs Anderson.
