A woman will face court over multiple stealing offences in Sydney's CBD and inner-city last year.
In October 2025, officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of multiple shops were allegedly shoplifted in Sydney.
Police were told between August 2025 and September 2025, items including jewellery, three laptops, sunglasses, clothes, two handbags, a backpack, perfume and cosmetic were stolen from 10 different businesses in Sydney's CBD, Surry Hills and Glebe areas.
Inquiries have led police to allege all incidents are linked and the total estimated value of stolen items is at more than $32000.
Police established multiple crime scenes and commenced an investigation into the incidents.
Following inquiries, on Tuesday 24 February 2026, officers attached to Proactive Crime Team at Sydney City Police Area Command, with the assistance from Ryde Police Area Command, arrested a 34-year-old woman at a home on Angas Street, Meadowbank.
She was taken to Ryde Police Station where she was charged with four outstanding warrants on common assault, larceny, shoplifting value more than $2000 and less than or equal to $5000 (six counts), shoplifting value more than $5000 and less than or equal to $15000, shoplifting value less than or equal to $2000 (four counts), shoplifting, and break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000.
She was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 25 February 2026).
