Woman Charged for Assaulting Traffic Controller in Epping

A woman has been charged after she allegedly hit a traffic controller while driving in Epping on 22 November.

The driver was travelling on Epping Road when she allegedly struck the woman who was controlling traffic, about 10.30pm.

The 38-year-old Mill Park woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 40-year-old Doreen woman, has been charged with reckless conduct endanger life, reckless conduct endanger serious injury, drive without headlights on at night and breach licence condition.

Her licence was also immediately suspended.

She has been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 29 April, 2024.
