A woman has been charged after two police officers were injured while attempting to arrest a man in the Blue Mountains yesterday.
Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command attempted to arrest a 34-year-old man in Railway Parade, Hazelbrook, about 10:20am yesterday (Monday 21 July 2025), in relation to a pursuit through the mountains last week.
A Taser was deployed to effect the man's arrest; however, a woman allegedly intervened.
A struggle ensued between the officers and the man, during which they were allegedly punched in the head before the man ran away.
Following inquiries, a 40-year-old woman was arrested at Blackheath and taken to Katoomba Police station where she was charged with hindering police in the execution of their duty.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Katoomba Local Court on Monday 11 August 2025.
The search continues for the man who is he is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm-180cm tall, of thin build with blond hair and a ginger beard.
He was last seen wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
