A woman has been charged with fraud offences in the state's south.
Detectives attached to Riverina Police District commenced inquiries on Friday 20 February 2026, following reports of alleged fraudulent transactions made by an employee of a licensed venue in Junee.
Following extensive enquiries, about 11.25am on Wednesday 18 March 2026, police arrested a 44-year-old woman at Wagga Wagga Police Station.
She was charged with seven counts of dishonestly obtain financial benefit etc by deception.
She was granted strict conditional bail and will appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 27 May 2026.
Police will allege in court the transactions were made between January 2023 and February 2026, and totalled just over $824,000.
Investigations are ongoing.
