Woman charged, man remains critical after stabbing - Oxley Park

A woman has been charged and a man remains in a critical condition following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's west yesterday.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Braddon Street, Oxley Park, about 9.15pm (Wednesday 11 March 2020) following reports of a domestic-related assault.

Police will allege two men and a woman were involved in a physical altercation at the unit, where one of the men sustained stab wounds to his abdomen.

The 28-year-old man was driven to Mt Druitt Hospital, before being transferred to Westmead Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established two crime scenes – one at the unit, and the second being the vehicle the man was conveyed to hospital in – and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 26-year-old woman was arrested at the unit in Oxley Park and taken to Penrith Police Station.

She was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm, reckless wounding – in company (DV) and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 12 March 2020).

As the investigation continues, a search is ongoing to locate the other man who police believe can assist with their inquiries.

The men and woman are all known to each other.
