Woman charged with drink driving with two kids in car in Northmead

A woman has been charged with a mid-range PCA after being stopped with her two children in the car at Northmead overnight.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command will allege they were patrolling Church Street, North Parramatta just before 10.30pm (Monday 14 January 2019), when they stopped the woman on Moxhams Road, Northmead due to her manner of driving.

The 40-year-old driver was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.150.

She has been issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA and her licence was suspended immediately.

The driver is due in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 27 February 2019.

The woman's two children, aged five and seven, were in the car at the time.

Family and Community Services have been notified.
