Woman charged with drug supply near Cessnock, NSW

A woman is due to face court charged with alleged drug supply after a search warrant at a home near Cessnock this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 5.30am (Wednesday 16 May 2018), officers from Hunter Valley Police District attended a home on Greta Street at Aberdare, where they stopped four people riding unregistered trail bikes.

One of the four fled on a trailbike and could not be located again. Inquiries are continuing.

Officers allegedly located drugs, resealable bags and cash in a woman’s backpack.

An 18-year-old woman, and two men, aged 24 and 27, were arrested and taken to Cessnock Police Station.

During a search of the home, power tools, a cooktop, three motorbikes, and a ride on mower, believed to be stolen, were located.

The 18-year-old woman was charged with possess prohibited drug x5, supply prohibited drug x2 and deal with proceeds of crime.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Cessnock Local Court on Wednesday 27 June 2018.

The men were released pending further inquiries.
