Woman dies after Albanvale fire

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad are investigating following the death of a woman following a fire at an Albanvale property earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to the Sutherland Street address about 5.20pm on Monday, 14 March after reports of a fire.

The 36-year-old woman was conveyed to hospital with life threatening injuries and subsequently passed away early this morning.

A 17-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 38-year-old male was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries and remains in hospital under police guard.

All parties involved in the incident were known to each other and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
