Woman dies after being struck by car in Geelong

A woman has died following an incident in Geelong at the weekend.

It is understood a reversing car struck two women on Yarra Street about 1.40pm on Sunday, 23 July.

A 96-year-old Newcombe woman was taken to hospital where she died on Wednesday, 26 July.

The other pedestrian, a 79-year-old Geelong woman, sustained minor injuries.

The driver, a 90-year-old Jan Juc man, stopped at the scene.

Police are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
