Woman dies after crash at Boree Creek

A woman has died in a car crash in the state's south west.

About 2.45pm yesterday (Sunday 1 March 2020) emergency services were called to Strontian Road, Boree Creek, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

The Toyota Corolla was believed to be travelling in a westerly direction before losing control on a right-hand bend and colliding with a tree.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 20-year-old woman and the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
