A woman has died and a man has been arrested following an incident in Keilor Downs this afternoon.
It's believed a man was threatening to assault the woman at a Kiwi Retreat home just before 1pm.
The incident continued in a car and the victim has fallen onto the road as the car was driving around a corner.
The 32-year-old Keilor Downs woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital but has since died.
She delivered a baby via c-section which remains in hospital in a critical condition.
A 35-year-old Keilor Downs man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
