Woman dies after two vehicle crash - Camberwell, north of Singleton

A woman has died following a two-vehicle crash north of Singleton this morning.

Police have been told about 10.40am today (Wednesday 20 November 2019), a car travelling westbound and a truck travelling eastbound on the New England Highway had collided.

The female driver of the car died at the scene.

The male truck driver was taken to Singleton Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established.

The New England Highway is currently closed in both directions, with local diversions along the Golden Highway and Denman Road in place. For the latest traffic information, visit www.livetraffic.com

Motorists are advised to avoid the area as the road will be closed for some time.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
