Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a woman was located deceased in Carlton North overnight, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to a field between Royal Parade and Princes Park Drive after a passer-by found the body of a woman shortly before 3am.
Paramedics worked on the woman, who is yet to be formally identified, but she was not able to be revived.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
