Woman more than five times legal limit charged - Burraneer

A woman will face court next month after being charged with high-range drink driving in Sydney's south yesterday.

Just before 6pm (Wednesday 22 January 2020), officers from Central Metropolitan Region Highway Patrol stopped a Toyota Hilux utility on Woolooware Road, Burraneer, after concerns the driver had left a nearby liquor store and may be intoxicated.

Police spoke to the driver, a 57-year-old woman, who was subjected to a roadside breath test that returned a positive result.

The woman was arrested and taken to Miranda Police Station where she allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.279.

The Burraneer woman was charged with drive with high range PCA and will appear in Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 27 February 2020.

Her licence was also suspended.
