Woman pulled from water dies in Sydney's Eastern Beaches

A woman who was pulled from the water today on Sydney's Eastern Beaches has died.

About 1.40pm today (Monday 9 January 2023), emergency services were called to Gordons Bay, Clovelly, following reports an unconscious woman had been pulled from the water.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and were told a 47-year-old woman had been swimming in the water where she appears to have suffered a medical episode.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to revive the woman; however, she died at the scene.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
