Woman sexually assaulted in Croydon

Knox Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are hoping to identify a man after a 56-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Croydon last month.

Police have been told the Croydon woman was walking her dog along Dorset Recreation Trail near Parrs Road about 10.30am when the incident occurred on Thursday 22 August.

She was approached by an unknown man who handed her a flower before sexually assaulting her.

The offender is perceived to be Indian or Sri Lankan in appearance, 50 to 60-years-old, 170cm tall with a slim build.

He was wearing a grey beanie, dark coloured coat and dark coloured pants.

Investigators have released a digital image of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
