About 4pm today, police from Redfern’s Proactive Crime Team stopped a white hatchback on Redfern Street, for the purpose of a random breath test.

While speaking to the female driver, a female passenger was allegedly observed to open the front door and attempt to dispose of a substance outside the vehicle.

The passenger was arrested and the substance was seized by police.

A subsequent search of the vehicle also allegedly located further prohibited drugs believed to be methamphetamine, as well as cash.

The 32-year-old woman was taken to Redfern Police Station where she was charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial), supply prohibited drug (indictable) and deal in suspected proceeds of crime.

She was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court tomorrow.
