Women arrested after Brompton assault, SA

Two women have been arrested after assaulting a woman in her home at Brompton last night, according to SA Police.

Just after 11.30pm on Monday 1 August, a woman living at Brompton opened the front door of her home, only to be assaulted by two women known to her.

The two suspected then forced their way into house and assaulted the victim further before leaving on foot.

Western Adelaide Police investigating the incident spoke to the victim and then searched the area, locating the woman in a car-park of a hotel on Port Road.

A 24-year-old woman from Hawthorn and a 20-year-old woman from Crystal Brook were both arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and aggravated assault. They were both further charged with possessing a controlled substance and equipment, after they were allegedly found in possession of a substance believed to be ice and an ice pipe.

Both woman arrested will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.

The Brompton woman received minor injuries in the incident.
