Work Begins To Fix Kinka Road Slip

MidCoast Council

Work on a significant land slip on Kinka Road, Seal Rocks will begin next week and has the potential to impact residents.

MidCoast Council crews have already worked on the face of the slip with geofabric and gabion rock which reduces the likelihood of further erosion.

There are current traffic restrictions in place only allowing local traffic to enter and a five-tonne load limit.

Council understands this may have a substantial impact on residents in the area, but the provisions are required for safety reasons.

If residents require their septic tanks to be emptied during this time they are required to log a request on Council's website. The service will incur a $200 fee.

The work is expected to take about seven weeks and residents are reminded to observe traffic signs and controllers.

There may be short periods of road closure to facilitate the works.
