Workers moving pipe on Jamberoo Mtn Road

Kiama Council contractors, Civil and Civic, are setting up their work site at Jamberoo Mountain Road prior to starting construction this Monday (6 February).

Once construction starts, temporary access for local residents will cease, to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

This will also enable work to be done as quickly as possible.

Council is spending $4.24 million to repair Jamberoo Mountain and other local roads damaged by storms and landslides.

Jamberoo Mountain Road, Wallaby Hill Road, Foxground Road, Cliff Drive and Gipps Street were all damaged during storms and flooding in March and July 2022.

Work repairing Foxground Road will also commence this Monday.

Repairs to Wallaby Hill Road, Cliff Road and Gipps Street will follow the completion of work at Foxground.

The NSW and Australian Government are providing funding for this project through the NSW Disaster Assistance initiative.
