We're creating a new pocket park at 6A Willis Street, Hampton, transforming the former Scout Hall site into a welcoming green space for the local community.
The new pocket park will include:
- Landscaped garden beds
- New lawn areas
- Seating and park furniture
- Additional tree planting
- Public lighting
The project follows community engagement that showed strong support for more open space and greenery in the heart of Hampton. The new park will provide a place for people to sit, relax and enjoy being outdoors close to Hampton Street shops, community facilities and services.
The new park will open in spring 2026, see the concept plan below.
This project complements Council's $16 million investment in upgrading Bayside's activity centres, and help to deliver Council Plan Goal 2 Our Place: Increased access to open space.
