WorkCover Tasmania Board Seeks New Members

The Tasmanian Government has today opened an Expressions of Interest process to appoint suitably qualified individuals to Tasmania's WorkCover Board.

5 skills-based positions are available for appointment for a term of up to 3 years.

The WorkCover Board is an independent statutory body with responsibilities under the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, the Asbestos Related Diseases (Occupational Exposure) Compensation Act 2011, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.

Minister for Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Guy Barnett, said the Board works closely with both workers and employers to ensure Tasmania has a fair and equitable workers compensation scheme, strong return to work outcomes, and safer workplaces for all Tasmanian workers.

"The WorkCover Board plays a key role in Tasmania's industrial relations, and I look forward to seeing this important process progress."

Expressions of interest must be submitted by close of business 20 April 2026.
