We've started much-needed pavement reconstruction and drainage upgrade works in the right of way (laneway) at the rear of 89-115 Kingsway, between Bogong Avenue and Montclair Avenue, in Glen Waverley.
Works include construction of concrete pavement, reconstruction of the vehicle crossover at the Montclair Avenue end of the laneway, and the installation of new stormwater pits and pipes.
During construction works, the laneway will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
The lane closure means traders along this stretch of Kingsway lose access to the rear of their properties, so we've established temporary loading bays in Kingsway, to maintain their delivery access, while temporary waste collection points have been set up on Bogong Avenue and Montclair Avenue.
All front access to Kingsway businesses will be maintained.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of February, and we thank the community for their patience and co-operation during these improvement works.
